About EZ SLEEVE

We didn’t get our start selling hunks of plastic. We were Ironworkers who predominantly fabricated steel railings. So we are we selling plastic now? Well, those railings we made were often installed on concrete walkways where the holes for the posts were either core drilled after the concrete set, or more often were made by placing a steel sleeve in place for the concrete to form around. And both methods suck.
Core-drilling is expensive, requiring tools and manpower. And steel sleeves just rust and bleed out all over the concrete, making the bottom around all the posts look terrible.
But what to do about this. How could the process be improved? The years just rolled by with no answer.
Then one day as my uncle enjoyed his morning constitutional, he was stared in the face with a problem we can all relate too….an empty toilet paper role. Doh!!
As he sat there dejected, planning his awkward lurch for a replacement roll while staring at the horizontal bare roll in front of him…

And then inspiration came in a flash! Eureka!! Look at that pattern on the empty roll! See how you can unravel it, spiral it out? What if….what if we could turn that roll vertical and use that to make the post hole?????

And with that, the EZ SLEEVE was born!
